Manchester United vs Manchester City Preview, Predictions & Live Info

Manchester United vs Manchester City
English Premier League
Date: Saturday, December 12, 2020
Start at 5:30 PM UK / 6:30 PM CET
Location: Old Trafford (Manchester).

Saturday afternoon's start in the Premier League promises to be special as it is the Manchester Derby and both clubs will be looking to score three points.

Nationally, Manchester United have improved and moved up to sixth place after a slow start. The club have won their last four games in a row, including last weekend's comeback against West Ham, where they won 3-1.

However, despite the encouraging signs in the league, Manchester United were eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage by losing to RB Leipzig 3-2 in Germany. They almost came back in that game, as it was 3-0 at one point, but it wasn't.

Also the week has been overshadowed by the news that the influential player Paul Pogba wants to leave the club, the moment has not been very good, before a great Champions League match and between a local derby crunch.

United have a poor home record so far with just one win this season and that was against West Bromwich Albion. They have already lost 3 times at home.

Like their rivals, Manchester City are off to a slow start by their standards but have looked better in recent weeks and come into this match having won their last 2 games in a row.

City, which is known for its goals, has scored seven in its last two with losses to Burnley and Fulham. Pep Guardiola's team could overtake United with a victory, as they are only one point behind.

Manchester United vs Manchester City prediction

Both clubs have found a way, but only one manager remains under pressure and that is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from United.

True United have rebuilt the victories, but have been lucky on a few occasions and traditionally take too long to get into games, where they don't seem to materialize until the second half.

Playing like this you can get away with it against some clubs, but City is another level and we think the 2019 champions will come to this game very prepared, this could end up being a miserable 90 minutes for the locals.
