Match Preview

Manchester United (MU) will serve Liverpool in the Premier League at Old Trafford Stadium, Sunday (2/5/2021). Both teams are equally reluctant to lose for different reasons.

If Manchester United fails, and Manchester City beats the host Crystal Palace on Saturday (1/5/2021), then the Red Devils must be willing to see their city rivals lock the title.

Currently, MU is 10 points behind (77-67) from Manchester City. If there is a difference of 13 points between them, with four games remaining, MU will no longer be able to catch City.

MU's motivation to win may be very large. What's more, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's boys are in high spirits after slaughtering AS Roma at Old Trafford with a score of 6-2 through goals from Bruno Fernandes (2), Edinson Cavani (2), Paul Pogba, and Mason Greenwood in the first leg. the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Meanwhile, in his last match, Liverpool only drew 1-1 at home to Newcastle United despite winning first through Mohamed Salah's quick goal.

Liverpool also needs to win in order to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four. Currently, the Reds are still stuck in sixth place in the standings.

Liverpool is not an easy opponent. However, if you look at the game they showed in the last match, Manchester United seems deserving of the favorites to win. MU will be happy if you win, because it can make the Reds languish in pursuit of Champions League tickets.
